My rates are highly competitive and are priced by market sector. Voice over recordings and their associated usage payments ( where they apply ) can get a little complex, so please do contact me and I’ll be happy to discuss or fill out my questionnaire for a quotation.
I usually charge a BSF (Basic Sesson Fee) of £290 per hour + usage fees.
The BSF includes hire of my studio, recording, cleaning and editing of audio and delivery.
I don’t normally charge a BSF for the following types of work:
IVR Prompts – Charged at price per prompt. Minimum studio fees apply
Audio Books – Can be calculated on a per finished hour rate. Please ask for rates. Minimum studio fees apply.
Usage is applied for broadcast TV and radio adverts. All non commercial videos distributed online and paid for online advertising (YouTube Preroll, Facebook and Instagram) and is paid in the form of a licence fee. A licence will be granted for a set duration and for a geographic location.
The amount for the licence really depends on the exposure or reach , duration and mediums through which the recording is transmitted to the public.
Usage will not be applied to the following types of work:
Explainer or corporate videos – (where the video will only be viewed by the staff, or contractors) The content must not appear within the public domain and only internally on a customers intranet. It must not appear on the public internet. Sometimes the license for this kind of recording is known as an “internal only” license.
Union & Collective Agreements
I do also work under industry agreements including Equity, Equity ILR, BBC, PACT, ITV, C4, AMA/EMA and OMUK. These agreements are subject to the terms and conditions of these agreements and it will be my decision if the end client fulfil part of this agreement.
Payments terms are normally 30 days. For first time overseas clients I may ask for full or partial payment up front.
Payments can be made via bank transfer, Credit Card or Wise
